Care for a bedridden patient at home
Yes. For bedridden and frail patients, a nurse from 021 Infuzije comes to your home in Novi Sad and the surrounding area, 24/7, and does what you would otherwise go to a clinic for: dressing pressure sores and other wounds, catheters, feeding tubes, drips, injections and blood tests.

What we do for a bedridden patient
Dressing pressure sores (bedsores) and other wounds.
Placing and changing urinary catheters.
Placing a nasogastric feeding tube, when a doctor prescribes it.
IV drips and injections as prescribed by a doctor.
Blood tests, with no need to take the patient to the lab.
Why at home
For a bedridden patient, a trip to the clinic means transport, carrying and waiting. At home we carry out the procedure at the bedside, and the family does not need to arrange transport.
How the first visit works
On the call you tell us about the patient, what the doctor prescribed and what is needed.
At the address we carry out the procedure we came for.
We tell you what to watch for until the next visit.
When care is needed regularly, such as dressings or catheter changes, we agree a schedule of visits.
How the family can help between visits
Change the patient's position regularly, following the plan your doctor or nurse recommends.
Check the skin on the lower back, heels and hips every day.
Keep the catheter bag below the level of the bladder.
Write down changes (temperature, redness, less urine) and tell us at the next visit.
When to call a doctor or 194
For a sudden deterioration, difficulty breathing, loss of consciousness or severe pain, call an ambulance on 194.
If a fever appears, a wound is spreading or urine stops draining, contact a doctor.
Frequently asked questions
Do you come to bedridden patients at home?
Yes. We visit bedridden and frail patients in Novi Sad and the surrounding area, 24/7, and carry out procedures at the bedside.
Can you visit regularly, for example several times a week?
Yes. When care goes on for longer (dressings, catheter changes, treatment over several days), we arrange the visits in advance.
What should we prepare for the first visit?
The doctor's reports and orders, a list of the patient's medication and, if you already have them, dressing materials or a catheter. We tell you on the call what we bring.
Do we need a doctor's order for bedridden patient care?
For drips and injections with medication and for a feeding tube, yes, because a doctor prescribes them. For wound dressing and catheters, have the doctor's report or recommendation ready if you have one. For a blood test, a referral or a list of tests is enough.
